Quickies

If you're wondering what's going on with Idea Battle, it's on pause until I finish a couple of urgent things, such as my Lotusphere presentations.  Don't worry, I have a few more things to do, and then Bruce and I are going to figure out how to incorporate it into IdeaJam directly.

I notice Kevin Cavanaugh included remarks about QuickTune in his presentation at Admin 2007 in Barcelona.  I don't think it's been mentioned publically before, but it's some very cool technology.  Think one-touch guidance on server optimization.  I had the chance in Westford a few months ago to talk to the developers working on it.  There was talk of allowing a public supply of QuickTune suggestions, which is an awesome possibility for closer work between IBM and OpenNTF.org

I wonder if it's time to move Lotusphere out of the US?  This is getting ridiculous.  I'd say let's do it in Canada, but that's too cold in January.   So instead... Cancun, baby!!!!

UPDATE: A piece of good news about the Interface Matters sessions.  Last year, I was unable to provide NSFs for the demonstrations we showed during the session.  This year, every example that I show will be available to the audience as an NSF.  (I can't speak for Chris at this time.)  I'm trying to arrange to be able to hand them out at the session, but there are some etiquette rules at 'sphere that might prevent this.  But you'll definitely be able to get them from this blog.

1 - @3 All humming "Flight of the Bumblebees"? Emoticon

2 - Thanks for your work on interface design. Looking forward to the sessions in this area again this year at Lotusphere. Count me as a Notes developer who is "Interface" challenged. At least I'll be wireless this year at the conference so go ahead and post here. We'll get at 'em. Cheers!

3 - Thanks Nathan, It sounds like you're really working hard on these demos for 'sphere. Remember to make the concepts clear in the presentation and entertain us with geek speak. We can always digg through your code examples at home. Get outside. Enjoy the season! December goes quick!

4 - Hmmm, Cancun... Not a bad idea. Just been though there, on the way over to Cozumel, though. What about Cozumel? Emoticon
Would like to see 5000 "Bumble bees" with black-and-yellow backpacks, with Wild Bill in the lead, enter Senor Frog or Carlos and Charlies.
